Use of Silicon Fertilisers in agriculture have been present since the 1930's.
In the past three decades there has been a significant increase in use.
Specific crops such as rice and sugar
cane are globally major users of Silicon Fertilisers.
In fact, Japan has carried out studies
that have demonstrated that due to their high use of Silicon Fertilisers on
their rice that this has provided nutritional benefit to the population in that
their health care costs are one of the lowest in the world.
Silicon is recognised as being very
good for the human body, skin, bones, teeth and hair. More recently research
and studies have shown that Silicon also provides a boost to the immune system,
just like it does in plants.
